Actos Diabetes Drug Alleged Cancer Risks Exposed in Trial

Takeda Pharmaceuticals has been accused of failing to inform patients about bladder cancer risks associated with the Actos diabetes drug.
“When it comes to our medicines, we have the right to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” attorney Robert Eglet told jurors Thursday. “And that’s what this case is about.”
Takeda destroyed hard drives of company executives. The presiding judge told jurors that Takeda intentionally destroyed information which could be presumed to have benefitted the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs are represented by lawyers from Eglet Prince and Kemp, Jones & Coulthard.
