Propofol Problem for Nevada Health Company

Propofol issues in hepatitis c lawsuit

The National Law Journal, October 29, 2014 (Source) — Problems with Propofol continue for United Health Group in the hepatitis C outbreak in Nevada. Jury selection is underway in one case of about a dozen targeting this company and its subsidiaries on behalf of patients who contracted Hepatitis C between 2004 and 2008. It is said the disease was transmitted during endoscopies at Desai’s Las Vegas clinic, where staff allegedly infected patients by improperly double-dipping from single-use vials of Propofol, ignoring safety protocols. Plaintiff trial attorneys are Robert Eglet of Eglet Law and his co-counsel, Will Kemp of Kemp Jones & Coulthard.
