Founding Partners Robert Eglet, Tracy Eglet, and Robert Adams proudly announce changes in the Eglet Adams leadership team, naming Artemus Ham and Joel Henriod as partners. Artemus W. Ham IV, Esq.

Most know that Art is a fourth-generation Nevadan and third-generation attorney. Born and raised in Las Vegas and at the firm since 2010, Art was an instrumental part of the endoscopy litigation in which the firm obtained over $1 billion in verdicts at trial for patients infected with Hepatitis C. He was also integral in the management of the opioid litigation on behalf of the State of Nevada, and has handled many class action litigations throughout his practice. With a prestigious legal career focusing on high-profile litigation, Art’s deep-rooted connection to the Las Vegas community and his outstanding legal expertise make him an invaluable asset to the firm.

Joel D. Henriod, Esq.

Joel brings distinguished expertise in civil appeals, following a long partnership in the renowned appellate group of a large regional firm.  A fellow of the prestigious AMERICAN ACADEMY OF APPELLATE LAWYERS, he has appeared in over 200 cases before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and has embedded with more than 50 trial teams in high-stakes litigation to preserve appellate issues and consult on legal strategy. Adding to numerous accolades, he was designated 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” by U.S. News – Best Lawyers in the category of Nevada appellate practice. Joel will focus on the firm’s legal writing strategy and appeals.

Cassandra S.M. Cummings, Esq.

Cassandra joined the firm in 2018 and heads the mass torts writing team. She drafted briefs that led to the firm’s successful settlements in the October 1 shooting case as well as the State of Nevada’s opioid litigation against the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. A member of the firm’s ESG Committee, Cassandra is part of the team focusing on the firm’s internal and external social impact through expanding diversity, equity, and inclusion. Cassandra represents abused and neglected children through the Children’s Advocacy Project and is active in the firm’s philanthropic efforts.

Richard K. Hy, Esq.

Richard joined the firm in 2017 and focuses on complex civil litigation including mass torts and class action lawsuits. In the State of Nevada’s opioid litigation, Richard serves as liaison counsel to the firm’s governmental clients at the state and local levels, frequently testifying before county boards and city councils, and collaborating with their legal departments on litigation strategy. Richard was instrumental in obtaining the $800 million settlement for victims of the October 1 shooting, where he was the principal author of the initial complaints filed against MGM Resorts International and bump stock manufacturer SlideFire.
