Class Action Suit Against “Bump Stock” Manufacturer
The case against Slide Fire Solutions, LP
On Friday, October 6th, just 5 days after the horrific mass murders at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, a class action lawsuit was filed in the District Court of Clark County, Nevada by the renowned Las Vegas law firm Eglet Prince, together with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence. The lawsuit has been filed against Slide Fire Solutions, LP which manufactures and sells the “bump stock” device. A bump stock is an accessory that attaches to a semi-automatic rifle that allows it to shoot at a rate comparable or equivalent to that of a fully automatic weapon.
The members of the class action suit are seeking equitable relief in the form of a court-supervised program for medical psychological monitoring for all the Class Members at the expense of the Defendants. Equitable medical testing will provide medical monitoring, testing and evaluation that would have been unnecessary had the Defendants not been negligent and conducted this reckless behavior.
Only Plaintiffs who suffered emotional distress from being fired upon and witnessing this carnage and their family members, friends and fellow concert-goers are class members of this class action suit. Those excluded include individuals sustaining physical injuries, fatal injuries and members, or any heirs of the deceased.
